On-tap at the brewpub.
A: Lightly hazed medium-amber body under a thin, clumpy off-white head. Not as ugly as many Willibrew IPAs, but still pretty pedestrian.
S: Good balance of caramel malt and piney/citrus hops. Really straightforward, really nice.
T: Piney hops up front, followed by some sweet caramel malt and a mildly bitter, slightly citrusy finish. Quite good.
M: Medium body, lively carbonation. Great.
O: This was a solid, tasty IPA, but as my tasting notes suggest it wasn't exactly distinctive. Pine/citrus/caramel might as well be the Cliff's Notes description of a standard American IPA, and that's exactly what this one delivered. A little disappointing for Willibrew, who usually knock IPAs out of the park.
Cheers!
