From cask.
Pours totally black, with a bubbly, beige head.
Smells of rock sugar, toasted malts, milk chocolate and balancing cocoa with a wooden aroma to it.
Has an utmost, soft, creamy mouthfeel with a mellow, perfectly nuanced, lower carbonation, making this an utmost pleasant drinker.
Tastes of earth accompanied milk chocolate, which has a prominent, wooden toast quality to it, creating a rustic foundation. This gets powered up by old hazelnuts, more chocolate and a prevailing, balancing roastiness. Finishes incredibly creamy and mellow, with the beer‘s carbonation turning lower, producing a rich chocolate impression, topped off by some raisins.
Very well made porter, which benefits from its cask treatment in a way, which makes you appreciate its lower carbonation a lot, since it develops a great chocolate richness.

On tap at Moeder Lambic. Dark black, great head. Toasty aroma. Flavor was delicious, slightly smoky, lots of dark malt. A nice porter that I could tell was a twist on a traditional but nowhere near what I would call a "Belgian" porter. If I tasted it blind at home I would be hard pressed to say where it came from.
