Copenhagen 26/3 2022. 33 cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. Black label in The Flying Dutchman’s usual overwritten style with a very long name spelled out in different font and sizes.
Pours opaque, dark brown big lightly beige head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, sugary, malty odor mingling with roasted coffee. Toasted malts, toffee, caramel. Brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is quite intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone.Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Nice and fairly well-balanced where the sugary sweetness is well matched by the bitter coffee.
