Copenhagen 22/3 2022. 33 cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. Black label in The Flying Dutchman’s usual overwritten style with a very long and rhyming name.
Pours very dark brown with a red hue and a big off-white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet toasted malty odor mingling with a citric scent. Dark toasted malts, toffee and a bit of sweet caramel. Lemon and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. A little thin. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Nice combination of sweet roastiness and citric bitterness but a little thin in flavor.

Black, dense foam, light brown color, beautiful.
Dark malts in the smell, citrus hop, piney hints.
The taste starts with dark malts, liquorice, again citrus hops.
Smooth, a bit easy-going, but good.
More intense bitterness in the aftertaste, bitter liquorice, rhubarb.
