Black currant sour porter
This sinister beer should only be consumed on sullen mood, wearing black head to toe and listening to Joy Division Love will tear us apart.
This is a serious beer for serious people. Be warned though, the interplay of black currants and cocoa nibs with bit of vanilla and oak chips that our happy brewer used may unexpectedly lift you from that void of existential pain you so much enjoy and suddenly you feel good.
That is not good.

Copenhagen 6/4 2022. 33 cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. Purple label in the Dutchman’s usual word-rich style.
Pours dark brown with a red hue and a huge beige head. Stable. Settles as several cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is a bit dampened by the massive amount of foam. Medium intense. With a roasted sweetness mingling with tart berries. Dark roasted malts, toffee and brown sugar. Currants and blueberries.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sour undertone. Finish is semi-dry.
More dark berries than dark malts. So not exactly Gothic.
