Clear brown with a gently lumpy light tan head of moderate height.
After having their fresh honey-infused brown ale, this is easily more balanced, exhibiting a little leafiness and an herbal bite.
Tingly in the middle, and semi-bitter, the finish is semi-dry.
Really crushable.

Having this beer on-tap at my first visit to the brewery. Served in a pint glass, this beer draws a somewhat cloudy/hazy medium to dark brown color with some amber highlights when held up to the light along with a tan head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served. Head settles eventually to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with some small cluster swirls of surface foam and good lacing. Very strong, toasted, caramel sweet and bready malt aromas with chocolate and nut as well for an excellent olfactory profile. The taste follows suit, with toasted, caramel sweet and bready malt aromas with chocolate and roasted nut. Just a little hint of some earthy hops. Has a crisp, yet smooth, slightly grainy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink the way good beer ought to be. Has a clean, slightly dry finish with a fairly sweet aftertaste.
