neat pils here, a new one for them i think, dry hopped, clean, a bit more american lager than old world european thing, but its drinkable, fresh, on the hoppy side without being aggressive, and overall relatively well made, no complaints on a warm afternoon out on their sidewalk patio space, sleepy little town and spot this is. straw colored, not clear but not sloppy or poorly refined either, nice and fizzy with a short inch of fading white bubbles, stays active the whole glass. nose of grassy hops, could be noble but could also just be a well timed and dosed american type, lower alpha it seems but aromatic, nice on top of a slightly fuller grain base, some minerals in the mix here too, and not much from the yeast which is fine with me, this is tidy in that regard. the flavor follows, dry earthy cereal grain base, fresh and more domestic to me, and not crazy light, but dry enough to almost seem that way, a little bit of character from the lager yeast but also kind of quick. its all hops on the swallow, mowed lawn, light preserved lemon, and a faint green tea wrinkle as well, along with just enough bitterness, good balance, modern balance, and excited carbonation throughout. nothing game changing here, but a fresh and tasty pils, nice with their creative food menu. check this place out, a little off the beaten path but worth a stop!
