Notes: Listed at 6.5% ABV and 30 IBUs. Black-brown body beneath a short head of tan. Spotty lace is left behind as it dwindles. Aroma of dark bittersweet chocolate and ashen roast. the flavor adds caramel, rich grainy malt, and a minor yeasty fruitiness (apple & pear). It's moderately bitter and semi-dry in the finish with chocolate, fruit, and smoky roastiness lingering. Medium bodied with a moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation that lends a gentle caress and then becomes more creamy across the palate. Very nicely done without too much smoke. Quite pleasant.
