We started with base and specialty malts from Epiphany Craft malts and then hit with a subtle addition of pecan smoked barley for depth. This is crispy yet decadent.

No canned on date. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Very dark chestnut brown with 1-finger beige bubbly head with decent retention and a partial collar and some streamers of lacing.
S: Graham cracker and Oreo cookie with some Vienna roast coffee
T: A little sharper flavor profile with a stronger roast component than I was expecting. Chocolate and graham cracker are squashed by a hefty dark malt roast flavor and finishes a little bitter roasty. This hurts the smoothness of the beer. Bitterness is medium-high and is clean.
M: Medium bodied with light-medium carbonation aid with drinkability despite the heavy-handed roastiness does lend a little astringency in the finish.
O: I think if Benchtop dialed back the roast a notch and upped the sweetness half a notch they would have a huge winner that a lot of people would look to in 3 out of 4 seasons.
