I don't see a date listed on the can.
Appearance: It is the color of orange juice, and it is completely opaque. It has a light big of gummy-like transparency around the edges but it can't be seen through. The head is large, white, and rocky. Great retention and lacing.
Aroma: It smells like fruit but there is also an odd plastic aroma. At first there is this mix of mango and honeydew melon, then it turns into a bit of vinyl, then back to what smells like peach, then back to vinyl. It is a very odd mix of aromas but the good scents smell good.
Taste: Much of the same characters come through. It starts out with a pretty strong peach flavor which is nice, then it flops into this plastic-like vinyl character. Some alcohol comes through as the beer sits a bit.
Mouthfeel: It is light bodied but doesn't have the standard soft texture of a typical New England IPA. Bitterness is medium-low but present in more of a raspy character than a solid bitterness.
Overall: The odd plastic or vinyl characters are pretty off-putting, but there are some redeeming aromas and flavors. It seems pretty atypical for a beer from Benchtop Brewing. I have a four-pack and while it's drinkable it isn't at a point where I would want to buy it again or recommend it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
