12/29/20 stamped on left side of label. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Clear gold to light amber hue with 2-finger white, frothy head with good retention and multiple levels of scrappy lacing.
S: Lightly tannic cedar aromas are crossed with wheat bready malty and grassy, spicy hop notes
T: Flavor is complex and rewarding with more rustic bread maltiness coupled with herbal, spicy hopping and low bitterness. The wood notes are more subtle in the flavor, lending more of a backing structure than distinct flavors. No alcohol notes and very low esters.
M: Very smooth and easy to drink with light body and moderate at most carbonation.
O: A very unique and interesting beer from one of my favor SE VA breweries. Brimming with character and drinkability, a really stellar and satisfying beer.
