On side-pour tap:
This is a case of personal preference and the sum of the parts working better for me, so overall I found this to be a very enjoyable beer.
The beer had a modest creamy head, with light beige dots forming a Robson bit nearly uniform curtain. Nose is coffee with a hint of dark nuttiness, but isn’t coming out heavily in my wide glass.
A nicely smooth feel with a proper level of carbonation to maintain the smoothness without dragging it into seeming flat. A light roast flavor gets a bump in the right direction for my tastes with a light woody/earthy note that I assume has to be from the foeder aging. There’s also a bit of a nutty note in back - walnut if I had to choose, which also could be foeder-influenced. Whatever is bringing the mix of notes to my palate, it is thankful for it.

I don't see a date code listed on the can or the label. It seems to be hit or miss with a lot of Benchtop beers.
Appearance: The body of the beer is black and only a little bit of light makes it through, giving it a mahogany color just at the edges of the glass. The head is oversized and khaki colored. It has a very fluffy head with a consistency of soap suds, which has very good retention and leaves thick drapes of foam on the glass.
Aroma: There is a roasted grain note with hints of spicy hops and earthy wood-like characters. There is a pleasant and somewhat strong coffee aroma with a light bit of dark chocolate and pine.
Taste: Up front there is a roasted grain flavor with hints of burnt wood. Towards the middle of the palate there is a touch of chocolate and just a bit of moss. A moderate pine character is also present. A stronger walnut flavor then drops onto the palate as it moves to the back of the tongue and takes over. A touch of cola in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It is medium-bodied with a wet finish. There is a mild bitterness which is comprised of both roasted grains and woodsy hops. Carbonation feels nice and a bit lively on the tongue.
Overall: It was an enjoyable beer. The can states that this is a "Foeder Aged Czech Style Dark Lager" and that it is "Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Tabol Brewing in Richmond, VA." The beer has a nice smoothness to it which could be a byproduct of the foeder but otherwise it doesn't seem to pick up any character when it comes to flavor or aroma. As a Czech Style Dark Lager it is good but it is a bit more heavy handed and forward with the roasted character and the pine notes. It's still a good beer and I could drink it again from time to time. As a whole I would recommend it.
