There is a stamp on the label which says "03/08/23"

Appearance: The body of the beer is a light lemon-gold color which appears slightly cloudy, but it is still clear enough to see through it easily. It has a medium-short sized head which is fluffy, white, and has good retention. There is some lacing which appears similar to soap suds.

Aroma: It has a bit of lemon zest with white pepper. There is a slight bit of cracker aroma to the beer and a very light hint of bread dough. The dough scent comes through a bit but it is only just present enough to make itself known without overtaking the lemon or pepper scents.

Taste: There is a bit of lemon and lime zest right at the tip of the tongue, then it takes on this somewhat wheat-like flavor with a wonderful herbal hop presence right at the center of the tongue. The back of the palate has a bit of a twiggy character. The aftertaste is mellow herbal hops.

Mouthfeel: It drinks light and smooth. The beer is very easy to drink. It has a light hint of hop bitterness. As a whole it is very pleasant.

Overall: The label on the can states that this is "Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Sojourn Fermentory in Suffolk, VA" and that the beer is a "Foeder Aged Northern German Style Pilsner." With a lot of beers coming from Benchtop over the years after they obtained their Foeders, the wood character doesn't seem to come through at all, but there is a nice mellowness to the beer which could be attributed to the Foeder. As a whole the beer tastes and smells very fresh and it has excellent flavor and texture. I would highly recommend it to people looking for a quality pislner. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
