There is a date code stamped over the top of the barcode on the label: "01/24/24"

Appearance: The body of the beer is a very interesting mixture of colors including burnt umber, reddish brown, and dark sunburst orange. It is much darker than typical blonde stouts and porters on the market. It is very hazy to the point where it's difficult to even see shadows through the glass. The head is an off-white color with a bit of a tobacco stained yellow tint to it. It starts out very large and fades pretty quickly to a short cap. No lacing. The head isn't that impressive but the color of the beer is very nice and makes up for that appearance-wise.

Aroma: It has a coffee aroma which is noticeable from a distance. When approaching the glass it becomes much stronger. The coffee character is very similar to the aroma when walking into a donut shop in the morning when they've just started making coffee. It's a simple but pleasant aroma.

Taste: Up front there is a lot of coffee flavor and that carries through all the way to the finish. There is a bit of a roasted flavor towards the middle of the palate but the overall character is somewhat mild. A bit of earthy character towards the finish and in the aftertaste. It is a nice tasting coffee beer.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium body which is a touch on the lighter side but for most sips it rests closest to medium. There is a mild roasted grain bitterness and coffee bitterness. It is easy to drink.

Overall: The label on the can states that this is a "BLONDE COFFEE PORTER MADE WITH CACAO NIBS" and that it is made with "PALE MALT MUNICH MALT CRYSTAL MALT DOUBLE ROASTED CRYSTAL MALT FLAKED OATS COFFEE BEANS CACAO NIBS." The cacao nibs really didn't seem to make an appearance in the beer unless they were contributing to some of the earthy notes. The highlights of the beer are the texture and the coffee character. It has an excellent texture and mouthfeel which is better than most blonde stouts or porters on the market. The coffee character is prominent which is great but it also fits in nicely with the rest of the malts. It is a pretty simple but well made beer that is rewarding to drink. I would buy it again and I would recommend it.
