In black ink on a black label, near the barcode: "11/13/24"
This was purchased from a shelf (non-refrigerated).
Appearance: The body is a very dark brown color to the point that it appears nearly black in the glass. It has a medium-sized creamy textured light tan head with excellent head retention. It leaves nice lines of lacing.
Aroma: It has a light bit of coffee aroma with a hint of cola. There are hints of non-specific roasted nuts and a light hint of a wintergreen aroma.
Taste: It has a flavor of carbon, burnt coffee, char, and heavily roasted nuts.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium-light body with medium-high carbonation and a medium roasted grain bitterness.
Overall: It's a pleasant beer to drink with some very nice aromas and flavors. It is worth noting that there is an icon on the label with "FOEDER PROJECT" and the beer doesn't seem to pick up any wood character. It's still an excellent beer but it's worth noting. The charred and roasted flavors feel clean and there is a pleasant nutty flavor to the beer. The label states that this is "Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Hashi Chow in Virginia Beach, VA" which makes sense because the ingredients listed include "DARK ROASTED KOJI RICE BREAD." I would buy it again and recommend it.

Good Czech style lager. Pours a dense, dark brown color with some reddish light coming through The big antique white/cream colored head is frothy and long lasting with lots of wide bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavor are pronounced - bready malt and coffee. Nicely done. Mouthfeel is rich for the style and low .abv. Crisp 'feel, good lager!!!
