This was purchased from cold storage. From the side of the label in white text: "05/28/25"
Appearance: The body is a gold color with brilliant clarity. It has a fluffy pure white head with a bit of a creamy texture. Great head retention and mild spots of lacing.
Aroma: There is a very light sickly aroma that sometimes comes with lagers, mixed with a very faint spicy hop scent. The aroma as a whole is very, very retracted and it takes a lot of effort to get a nose from this beer.
Taste: Up front there is a slightly fruity character that comes across as slightly vinous with a bit of an herbal note. It is pretty mellow so it doesn't detract from the beer. The middle has a light bit of whole-grain cracker character with a bit of lemon zest.
Mouthfeel: It is light and off-dry. Medium-low hop bitterness. It is pretty refreshing to drink.
Overall: As a whole it's an alright beer. It focuses mostly on this lemon character which is at the forefront of the flavor profile, followed by a light whole-grain cracker flavor. The beer is worth buying again but it probably wouldn't be a regular buy. I'd recommend at least trying a single glass of it if you are looking for something refreshing with a bit of a lemon character.
