Pitch black. Small tan head. Poor head retention.
Malty and very alcoholic. Some oak. Not all that interesting.
Combination of malt, oak and roast. A little dull really. It is flat and doesn't bring out any real complexity.
Medium body with moderately-low carbonation. Okay.
A middling beer. Disappointingly one note and not bringing any of the interesting chocolate notes that a porter can bring out.

Bottle from Beer Deluxe. From notes.
A - Poured black with a film of brown head that left no lace or retention.
S - Chocolatey, roast, some coconut.
T - Oak, roast, mesuli, chocolate, coconut. Pleasant.
M - Medium carbonation, medium to full body and sweet in the finish with some smoothness.
O/D - Pretty decent. Barrel influence doesn't really shine, but the beer was pleasant. Doesn't break the mold, just tastes good.
