Weathered Souls Brewing Co.

Nice spacious spot, tucked away on the edge of a strip mall in the far NW Side. Prices seem approachable for the area, and the staff was super friendly. One thing I appreciated in this COVID-impacted era was the comfortable outdoor seating.

 

Visited on a Thursday evening about dinner time. This place was not crowded when I entered but got progressively busier.

V - You are greeted with that malty smell of a brewery when entering the tap room, clean, bright, electronic beer list. Filled with twenty-somethings that don’t know what they don’t know. A nice local hangout with great beer 3.75

Qual - All the beers I had were very good. I agree with other who recommended this place, this brewery/tap room might be the best place in San Antonio. 4.75

Sel - Excellent selection from Pilsner and blonde to a variety of hoppy beers to porters, stouts and BA beers. 4.5

Ser - Great folks, freindly, knowledgeable, properly engaged. 4.75

F - I had the OG Burger - fantastic. The food is barbecue centric if that's a problem. 4.0

A very nice tasting room up front has a friendly vibe. Employees were laid back and nobody was driving them like slaves. Worked a private event in the larger back room area, which was enjoyable and went smoothly. Beers were very nice, I had a pale ale, porter and IPA over the course of five hours. On a purely beer basis, excellence all the way. Add in the generally laid back, friendly vibe and I have to say I'm glad to have discovered the place

Enjoyed a pretty decent porter here today: April 6, 2024, my 2nd visit here. Nice place, plenty of seating, good beers. Make this a stop while visiting microbreweries.

 

 

Trendy local brewpub with large taproom. Bar seats 10 with 20 or so tables and an outdoor patio. 12 beers on tap, the two I had were excellent. Friendly service. 16oz crowlers!!

these guys are making some really cool beers, and they had a great selection when we visited. a hoppy lager, a handful of new england pales and ipa types, barrel aged stout, they covered a lot of ground with their beer list, and i was stoked to be able to check it out and drink through a number of them, all were quite good, technically solid and relatively inspired. the space is somewhat generic, a strip mall vibe, new and bright and with high ceilings and a nice patio, but nondescript in a lot of ways, like it could have been anything, generic furniture spread around, a long bar in the front with sports on television, and a lot of dogs out on the patio, its busy and fun on a saturday afternoon, but the space is nothing special, you go here for the beer not the ambiance. the service was awesome, we got plenty of attention and also some great recommendations about other local breweries to visit (and not visit). if there was a basketball game on tv that i wanted to see or something, this would be in ideal place to check it out, but its worth it for their beer alone. definitely ahead of the curve in terms of quality around san antonio!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Really like the vibe here. Nice outdoor space and when they have live music it definitely gets on the loud side. No food, but they let you bring food in. I've had beers taste different on the few times I've been there and at times the selection hasn't been that diverse, but they're new so I expect that will improve. I do enjoy going here and look forward to visiting here again.
