500ml bottle from Grunting Growler, Glasgow:
Not a bad offering but one that was ultimately a disappointment when compared to the last beer I had from the brewery, their The Grunting premium lager. This one opened with a nice sweetness and there was a good balanced between the sweet malts, the subtle fruits and the pine bitterness that helped it down easily but the fact it seemed to weaken nearer the end prevents it from scoring higher. It was a crisp, fresh offering but in the end it was also quite basic and didn't really stand out from the crowd like their last offering did. A nice enough beer but it's not likely to be one I'll seek out again.
