Urban Village Brewing Co. "2nd St Festiv "Ale"
$2/4 oz. on tap at the brewery on 29 August 2017
Notes: Clear straw-gold body beneath a short head of bright white foam. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma is light citrus and mild, golden and lightly grainy malt. The flavor follows with a light maltiness, some very mild citrus, and a median bitterness given the maltiness that's there (listed at 29.5 IBUs). Probably a touch bitter for what it is, which is a moderately hoppy light ale. Dry, citrusy (mainly lemon) finish. Light bodied and gently crisp. Probably not a good choice of names given its light character but I don't know, perhaps it was brewed for a summer street festival where it would have made perfect sense.
