Loads of oats and milk sugar give this IPA great mouth feel. Hop blend of Vic Secret, Mosaic and Motueka pair up with this for a super juicy IPA.

Urban Village Brewing Co. "Super Villain"
$3/4 oz. on tap at the brewery

Look: Cloudy yellow gold body beneath a short head of creamy white foam. Very good head retention and lacing with sheets of thin but solid lacing.
Smell: Floral and fruity.
Taste: Oats are clear within the sweet malt. It's fruity with notes of white grape, gooseberry, passionfruit, mango, and nectarine. There's a little bit of resin and spiciness as well. It's moderately bitter but along with some hop bite and the spiciness it remains in check. The spiciness lingers in the finish.
Feel: Medium bodied and smooth due to all of the extra proteins, the added lactose, and a fine-bubbled, median carbonation.
Overall: The malt is of the usual NEIPA makeup but the choice of hops is a little less common and keeps it interesting throughout. Nicely done.

Results of emptying a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass begin with the visual. It's a light and somewhat dull lemon yellow, producing very little head. Rather opaque, fingers behind the glass can barely be distinguished. Although the aroma is not pungent, some citrus like hops can be detected. It tastes just fine, but not spectacularly. There's just enough body and starch to add balance to a moderately hopped ale. Those hops are as the nose predicted, mildly citrusy and not at all astringent. A nice clean finish makes another quaff inviting. No, this isn't a world class brew. If nothing else, it's too one dimensional for that. But this is a very pleasant drinking experience and the four pack purchase was a good one.
Update: Like many other brews, this is better off the tap, especially if it's right at the Urban Village taproom in Philadelphia. The ratings have thusly been adjusted.

L: Pours a nice straw, hazy, yellow
S: this is where this beer shines. Has an intoxicating aroma of hops and vine with citrus twist
T: pretty much follows the nose. Mango and citrus up front with a slightly bitter finish
F: soft. Medium carbonation

Cloudy light banana yellow with two fingers of yellow-tinted head. Good retention, with thick rings of lacing.

White wine, lime, pine and a hint of blueberry in the nose.

Wine and lime show again up front, with a hint of floury doughiness mid-palate and a lightly bitter citrus-and-herbs finish. There’s a hint of berry in there again and maybe some peach skin, too.

Relatively full-bodied and slick feeling with moderate carbonation.

Tasty beverage. The hops are showcased well, and the look and feel are excellent. The slight doughy character brought it down for me just a touch.
