Amarillo, centennial, enigma & simcoe hops give this IPA a tropical citrus aroma that is supplemented with a small amount of spruce tips. malt bill includes heavy amounts of wheat, oak & flaked rice giving the beer a haze.

The hazy golden amber colored beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1 1/2” fluffy white head that recedes slowly to a 1/8” cap on the liquid and then to a ring and a thin irregular island of foam on the surface while leaving some irregular patches of lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates scattered patches and slender legs of lacing.

The aromas are full of citrus, including grapefruit and some other citrus there’s also some tropical fruits. There is some pine in the background along with the malt backbone.

The flavors are much as expected from the nose with lots of citrus and some tropical fruits. The grainy sweetness has some light caramel and is touched with pine. Way in the background there’s some bitterness that is a blend of some citric zest and some earthiness.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied, soft and smooth with the finely bubbled gentle carbonation. The finish begins as the fruit flavors begin to slowly fade leaving the pine and the earthy grapefruit zest bitterness to slowly follow as they to fade into a slightly bitter semi-dry ending.

Overall this an enjoyable and drinkable beer that seems to be a good example of the NE IPA style that touches the right bases, it’s hazy, fruity, smooth and the bitterness is well controlled.

Canned on 9-28-18 into 16oz IPA glass.
L: Cloudy, light orange. Little lacing, and light head.
S: Balanced .. a little heavier on the citrus side.. light pine.
T: Citrus, pine and a little tropical.
F: Medium MF, smooth and creamy. Very low bitterness, and carbonation.
O: Some beers are good, some are bad. This was a surprise to the good.

Can dated 8/24/18 into pint glass. Pours a hazy amber-straw color with a fluffy off-white head. Initial impression is a juicy blend of pineapple, orange, some floral notes, and pine resin, with a light caramel malt backbone. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Finish has a bit of bitterness to it. My first beer from Urban, and it's a good one.

L - 2-finger fluffy white head atop a translucent yellow body.

S - grapefruit, cotton candy, herb

T - follows the nose. A little grass, pineapple, and a touch of earthy hops. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium body and carb.

O - decent, but overpriced at $20/4.
