16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 12/11/20, so 14 months old.
Looks decent in the glass. Black body, darkest brown when held up to the light. Small tan head shrinks to a ring, no lacing.
Nice chocolatey aroma.
On tasting, mildly smoky, a significant roast. The chocolate notes balance it all out. Nice sweetness. Not getting any honey or maple flavors.
Mouth above medium, finish a sweetness into roast progression.
Overall, not a bad beer. Wondering if the age might have helped this one.
