Smells like malty cocoa powder, in a very good way.
Taste is chocolate malt, with a little roasted malt in the aftertaste, nicely balanced by the hops.
A lively beer with a khaki head and dark chestnut body.
I'd say it's a pleasant Philly take on a classic German style.
Not as smooth as it could be, but it's curiously different.
I like it, but I don't exactly love it either.
