Privateer Pale Ale has a thick, frothy, beige head, a deep tan, bubbly appearance, with lots of sediment chunks, some bubbles, and a bit of glass lacing. Aroma is of sweet, yeasty, funky, spiced brown bread crust, and the flavor is of those elements, with a somewhat harsh hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Privateer Pale Ale finishes mostly dry. This is like no pale ale I've ever had. Very odd. Tastes like a spiced Belgian golden ale.
