What a sweet surprise this stout, from this non-descript brewer, turned out to be...
I've seen plenty of black-poured stouts, but this one is something to behold. It does so without much of a head and no lacing, but it is truly still something to look at. The smell was boozy and malty and it worked with a mouthfeel that was slightly creamy, just a hint of wateriness, but still smooth across the tongue. Taste had a hint of almonds, much malt, I can taste the heat of the booze, and overall, it was truly a sweet surprise.

12 oz. bottle brought back amongst dozens of other from FL two weeks ago. So hard to jam an entire state’s worth of beer in three suitcases.
Black, with minimal evident carbonation, & smells like I’m using nuts as nose plugs. Nuts for miles. Good name for a band.
Untitled Art Almond Milk Stout tastes disturbingly like almond milk. I mean, what I’d think it sounds like, if I were to put something that gross in my mouth. And I’ve put ear wax in my mouth. Anyways. Lactose, milk, & nuts all over my mouth & if this weren’t a beer review, it could be another kind. Lactose that runs right into rich cream. Lush. I wish I hadn’t split this with my wife.
This is basic as can be & just delightful. Excellent beer.

12oz bottle. Served in a FFG stemmed glass. Pours a dark cola brown body, one finger offwhite head, fair retention, not much lacing. Smell is almond milk, marzipan, touch of milk chocolate and lactose. Some cocoa. Sort of like chocolate almond milk, with a bit of earthy astringency. Flavour is sweet milk chocolate, marzipan, a touch of nuttiness. Fairly sweet beer, slight cocoa bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, on the sweeter end than I'd like, but still solid depth to it. Overall, a beer that was promising although a bit too sweet. Perhaps a little coffee addition might balance things out, or another similar adjunct. Still a fun beer to taste and try.
