Had on draft at Lupulos in Santa Cruz. Delivered what it promised but a bit sweet for my tastes.

Damn, did I like this stout...
Right from the get-go I knew this was going to be special. It poured out an all consuming black color with tan head and lacing that made its way down the glass. The smell was lightly of rum and had a sweet finish to it when you pulled away from the glass. I found the mouthfeel to be vaguely creamy, carbonated, and somewhere between light- to medium-bodied. But the taste, holy hell, the taste was spectacular - a complex and truly unique mixture of malt, rum, cinnamon, and a touch of spice to round things out. I had an inkling I would like this and though I tempered my expectations, they were certainly exceeded.
