16 oz. Can
Version: 2
ABV: 7.5%
Canned: 03/09/20

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy dark pale yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, strawberries, mango, peach), vanilla, pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach, strawberries), very nice touch of vanilla, pretty nice little diesel like, very nice sweetness. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here. Big time strawberries!

Look: hazy reddish yellow. Foamy off white head, messy lingering lacing.
Smell: strawberry milkshake! Nailed it. Rich, sweet strawberry.
Taste: ditto.

9/22/2018; nice smooth taste, soft MF -- the floating particles were a little unsettling at first glance.

A - Super hazy body, slightly darkened orange with flaky white hop particulate throughout that settles out some over time. Head forms up short, slightly off white, with lots of tiny bubbled lacing. Pretty.

S - Strong notes of mango and passionfruit when cool. As it warms, the strawberry notes strengthen. A bit of peach and stone fruit.

T - Follows the nose in that there is a mélange of fruit, including peach and mango. Over all, there is a bit hit of sweet, slightly over-ripe strawberry, and a close that is mildly bitter, suggesting orange pith and marmalade. Delicious. One note - use a spoon to keep the hop bits suspended, as it improves the flavor.

M - Soft and slightly slick, with just a touch of dryness in the finish.

O - Solid rendition of the NE IPA style, with an interesting touch introducing a lush strawberry aspect. The end result reminds me of a peach strawberry smoothie without the acidity. I will buy again, if I find it.

Had on tap. Pours ultra hazy, gold in color, with 1/3 inch head. Taste is orange, melon, vanilla, and strawberry...especially on the finish. Heavy bodied, slightly bitter, low carbonation. Way interesting. Nice citrus and strawberry combo. Could do several.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 30, 2018. Tastes like drinking strawberry shortcake with a heaping pile of whipped cream.

8/13/18 can into teku

Rolled the can around afew times to make sure the inevitable particulate would be more evenly distributed. This brew pours yellow/gold. White dense frothy head with great head retention (the main reason I gave this beer a 3.75 instead of 3 or 3.25).
Smell is somewhat subdued. Strawberry, yogurt, and some orange flesh are the main contributors.
Taste is immediately strawberry and citrus with some medium hop bitterness and a light touch of tartness, then the milkiness of the lactose kicks in and turns it all into a semi-creamy yogurt flavor profile. Finishes with more strawberry tartness, sweetness, and hop bitterness. I think it sounds better than it actually tastes.

The closest thing I’ve had to this was m43 strawberry tart but the flavors on this one don’t mingle nearly as smoothly as the former. It still drinks, strangely, like a bitter neipa with decent strawberry flavor and then some milkiness. Fair attempt at a milkshake ipa. I can’t help but think that a month in the can ruined the mouthfeel and thickness that this beer requires to successfully integrate all those flavors.

16 oz can into IPA glass. Dated 8/13/18.
Look is yellow orange with tons of yeast floaters. I don't mind a little of that but this is about at my limit. Smell is strawberry and a hint of orange at end. Taste pretty much follows nose with little strawberry tartness at end. Feel is medium and creamy. Overall, other than the look this is not a bad milkshake IPA but I have had better.

L: hazy, gold, lots of floaties, decent lacing
S: some citrus hops, some fruit
T: pretty tasty, not as sweet as I expected
F: upfront mouthfeel, berry taste on the finish
O: kind of a shtick beer, better than expected, got it for free

Beer pours an opaque orange color. Tons of chunky yeasty floaters are in the beer - it looks like curdled milk and orange juice ... when the yeast floaters settle in the bottom of the beer there is a full inch of solid matter in the bottom of the glass. And yet, the beer never actually clears up. Frankly its one of the most disgusting looking beers I've ever seen. Thin white head dissipates pretty quickly leaving behind a thin layer of velvety white foam.

Aroma has strong notes of strawberry, with notes of vanilla and sugar. There is a slight tartness to the strawberry on the nose.

Taste has notes of strawberry, grapefruit, bitter rindy hops and some lactose. the vanilla and lactose do provide a creamy sweetness to the beer - reminiscent of a milkshake - that is countered by the hoppy bitterness on the back end the finish. Im not sure the two really balance each other out as much as clash.

Feel is chunky, thick, curdled. Semi-dry finish. Moderate vibrant carbonation.

Overall, the only thing this beer has going for it is the nose which is rather nice. To my palate the flavors clash and in terms of appearance and feel this beer is downright awful. Hazy is one thing - this isn't hazy. This is an inch of sludge in the beer.
