Coffee Liquor Barrel-Aged Pudding Stout

On draft at Funk Factory. Minitumbler glass. Just enough to get a sense of the beer. Murky darker cola brown body, one finger offwhite head. Smell is distinct coffee ground, a bit of oak, sweet cake frosting, light milk chocolate, a bit of cocoa. The sweetness of the base beer has been cut a little bit by the barrel and coffee, which is nice. Flavour follows; although the sweetness comes across a bit more here. The coffee aspect of the barrel is helpful here, adding just a bit of astringency to cut the sweetness a bit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, slightly dry, astringent oaky finish.
