Had on tap. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Smell and taste both feature, you guessed it, a ton tangerine, with floral and grassy hops, tropical fruit and grapefruit supporting. Smells as it tastes, though smell you get more of the hop floral aromatics, where taste you get hop bitterness. Well made in the feel with creamy smoothness to go with hop texture in the finish.

Appearance: Slips out a clouded, orange-golden body with a slim-sized, whitish head.

Smell: Floral, citrusy aroma that is somewhat sweetish in quality hinting of honeywater with an appreciably, aromatic juicy tangerine, clementine nose.

Taste: Sweetish, honeyed and presenting tangy, acidic tangerine fruitiness. Hint of hospitality fruit, peach and a bit of understated dankness. Small, small touch of chalk. Moderate bitterness. A reasonable dose of booziness, adjoining to the citrus component for a slight screwdriver taste. Smooth, bittersweet finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: Not bad, above-average, even and it's a beer that does what it says it does in delivering a tangerine taste.

On tap at the nova.

White head. Lace. Hazy golden sunset.

Tangerine explosion. Very bright, tropical, and citrusy. Earthy, soft. Medium bodied. Very crushable.

Pouring from a 16 oz. can into a Willi Becher glass, this beer pours out a medium shade of orange. Completely hazy and resembles juice with one finger worth of tingy yellow bubbles on top.

The nose brings a citrus to it. Oranges and tangerine in front of a cream presence that makes it resemble orange creamsicles.

The taste follows that as well. Very creamsicle like. A lot of tangerine showing through.

Creamy, thick body with a soft, clean finish.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/29/2019. Pours opaquely hazy medium orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, tangerines, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, tangerines, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and minimal lingering hop/fruit astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky/resinous/rindy, and lightly acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 8% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited NEDIPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, tangerines, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Nicely soft feel, and not aggressively bitter. Feels like Simcoe, Columbus, Centennial. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; with a great balancing wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example. Authentic tangerine flavor is insane on intensity.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had an orange color and a very cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Solid lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish), a ton of citrus fruit (tangerines, of course), some tropical fruit (mango in particular), and a surprisingly high amount of hops. This beer is definitely as advertised: Lots of tangerines. There are some other fruits in it, but tangerines rule the day. The hops add a good balance to it. Pretty tasty stuff.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a sharp, slightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A light, sweet and enjoyable DIPA. Drinkable.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 01/29/19

About 1.5 months on this can.

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy yellow/orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some very nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, cantaloupe, mango, apricot), with some pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a really nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, cantaloupe, mango, apricot), pretty nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Addictive! Orange Juilus! Milkshake!. Glad to see this around here.
