16 oz. Can
Canned On: 03/19/19
Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice black color, with some pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which also leaves some small islands and some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee, vanilla, maple, licorice. The taste is pretty nice, malty, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee, with some nice vanilla/maple sweetness, licorice. Full Body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a slight dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Glad to see it around here.

16 oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, head fades to flat. Aroma and taste are chocolate, maple, light milky elements. A bit sweet, and a bit savory, cinnamon. Breakfast flavors throughout. Slightly sticky.

Pours a good lookin black with red highlights. Ample off-white head that quickly fades. Smells like A LOT of maple with an undercurrent of espresso and milk chocolate. Taste is even more maple like a maple creme cookie dipped in a mocha. Tasty beer!

Stout brewed with lactose and maple. Collaboration beer with Listermann Brewing (Cincinnati). Poured from a can into a Listermann's pub glass. The pour is dark mahogany and not quite opaque (I can see some light peeking through the edges of the glass). It sports a nice 2 fingers of fine tan foam with good retention. I definitely get a fair amount of roastiness on the nose. There are aromas of roasted malt, espresso, and cocoa and some of the maple comes through as well.
Full body with a firm feel and a sweet and roasty flavor. I get a lot of maple on the palate (a LOT). It comes as something of a surprise since the roastiness hides it on the nose. Maple, toffee, and black coffee up front, then as the roastiness fades a bit the maple comes charging forward even more. It lingers well on the finish along with a pleasant sarsaparilla-like note. Overall, a really nice beer, although a bit pricey.

A damn tasty and fine beer. Drank it by Lake Marie in Twin Lakes Wisconsin during my annual Columbus Day weekend trip. Roaring fire, John Prine singing Lake Marie, cigar, and a quiet lake as accompaniment.
Sweet stout, but not overly so. Roasty dark malt with a dance of maple and milky sweetness over it, creamy feel, big body, mouth watering, strong alcohol presence. Just wish it wasn’t so cold outside so I could see how it was when warmed up.
I have not had a bad beer from Untitled Art so far, and I will gladly search out more of their stuff. Glad I only got one of this, just because this was one of those instances of the ideal time and place to have that exact beer.

16 oz can sent from superspak
3/19/19
North Coast tulip snifter
Pours a chestnut brown that forms into a darker chocolate brown to black body, with a light brown head of 2 fingers, receding to 1 and leaving sparse lacing.
Aromas of maple and melted plastic, with some chocolate pancakes and chocolate syrup; slight nutty malt; grape sucker; some fruity yeast character.
Flavor is both very bitter and very sweet at the same time, really clashes hard. I get a wonderful crunched up espresso bean finish though, which is my favorite part. The maple/cream and heavy acidic bitterness is a bit much though and they don't compliment each other. And the fruitiness, I want to say grape sucker, is there in the flavor as well, but it's very much a yeast-like fruitiness. It's a very bizarre little profile.
Feel is thick and syrupy, chewy, warming, sticky.
Overall, one I'd probably pass on in the future, but it was nice to try it and has some redeeming qualities.

Canned 3/19/19; drank 10/6/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; strong, frothy tree-rung lace.
Maple syrup, raisin, cream & pecan notes in the nose.
Sticky medium thick mouthfeel.
Oak, raisin, brown sugar, mild cream & faint booze heat flavors; robust, challenging but drinkable.

Got this one from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 16oz can into a snifter
Imperial stout with lactose and maple
Canned 19 March 2019
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear brown and yields a three finger, medium looking, slightly foamy, light tan head with good retention. Body is a clear bistre brown with piles of carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, foamy cap and leaves some lacing on the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving touches of foamy lacing down the glass as it empties. Really light color and a touch foamy.
SMELL: Bolder nose of maple syrup, some vanilla cream, milk sugars and some milk chocolate on the nose. Candy-like qualities here.
TASTE: Maple syrup, caramel, lightly metallic, with vanilla cream and some alcohol up front. More syrup and alcohol at the swallow, with a bold and lingering finish of maple, vanilla, milk chocolate, slightly roasted bitterness and a light metallic twinge there as well. Some alcohol under the whole show. Slightly perfume-like alcohol.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. A touch foamy perhaps but creamy enough, goes down okay with a bit of a scratch and finishes somewhat mouth-coating. Some heat lingers.
OVERALL: This has a lot of good things going for it, but the slightly metallic, perfume-like alcohol quality is just a touch in the way. The color is far too light for the style as well. This is decent but not something worth writing home about. There are certainly better imperial maple stouts out there.
