Pours a thick looking dark brown, almost black. A finger of dark brown head. Medium lacing. It looked pretty dense on the pour. We'll get to the mouthfeel is a second.
Nose is roasty malt, a tinge of dark fruit, this sort of nutty/savory praline quality, a touch of vanilla, very dark chocolate, brown sugar. This beauty is just begging to be barrel aged. It's like a Pokemon one level away from evolving. Almost all of the attributes that mix well with barrel char are here.
Taste is more expansive and expressive than the nose. Damn. Roasty, charred malt right upfront, bitter chocolate, coffee somehow in a very small capacity, that savory quality comes in which mixes well with the chocolate. This is a fantastic non-adjunct stout. Perhaps if it was just the slightest bit more bitter it would be near perfect execution.
Now, on to the mouthfeel. It looked dense on the pour, and for the most part that held true. It is just a hair short of fullbodied. It has very mild carbonation which is to be expected.
This came as an absolute surprise to me. This was something that I forgot I had, which came in through a Tavour delivery. So while this is a few months old, it should be perfectly fine. But having had multiple Untitled Art brews I knew this would be good, but this was delicious. Getting back to brass tacks with a straight up adjunct free stout is always refreshing and this one did it well. The only drawbacks to this brew are the mild lack of bittering hops and that soy sauce like presence on the nose. But that is usually just a byproduct of building big stouts like this full of malt. Well executed. I hope to see a barrel aged version of this brew.

16 OZ. can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours as black as my uncompassionate heart. It is topped with a couple inches of deep brown head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is roasted malt, black coffee, dark chocolate, and hints of anise.
The taste is dark chocolate and black coffee. There is a little anise. The finish is black coffee with some lingering bitterness.
Full bodied with a velvety mouthfeel
This is a good, classic imperial stout. Of course being a beer douche I want to know what it would taste like bourbon barrel aged. I am never satisfied. I always want more.

16 oz can from Tavour. Black pour, beige head disappears. Roasty, chocolaty aroma with hints of coffee. Taste is sweet, more chocolate, more roast, cacao, light savory accents. Rich, smooth, velvety.

Midnight black body with a tan cap. Brownie batter, roasted malt, soil, nuts, vanilla, and more semi-sweet chocolate aromas, it simultaneously smells like a classic stout but with a chocolate flair that is dynamic. Taste is more monotone, with char, fudge, roasted barley/malt, and earth, still very good. Body is not as foreboding as it looks, going down smooth with some light booziness, roast, and sweetness.

This beer pours midnight black with no highlights showing. A finger worth of caramel colored crown rests on top and holds well.
The nose brings huge layers of chocolate, fudge, caramel and roasty malts.
The taste brings a huge roastiness. Black coffee, some bread, chocolate fudge. Lingering bitterness. Bitter baker chocolate.
While the alcohol isn’t undetectable, it’s very easy for 12%. Roastiness and bitterness linger all the way through like a good cup of black coffee.
Overall, I enjoyed this more than expected. A straight up, no adjunct winner. Delivered on classic tastes.

For a non adjunct RIS this is incredibly delicious. Coffee, Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla, Oak, Char and Biscuit all play together to make quite the symphony. Mouthfeel is very full/chewy/viscous. Very pleased with this collaboration....one of UA better in recent memory.

Pours black as night. Impressive mocha head-cobwebs of lacing.
Cocoa, roast, char, anise and coffee on the nose.
Taste mimics the nose. Deep flavor profile. Nice depth and delicious.
Thick, coating mouthfeel. Low, prickly carbonation. Very nice.
This is pretty impressive. Think Even More Jesus. Highly recommended.
