Poured from 16oz tall can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 5/12/20.
Appearance: hazy dark-orange hue with two fingers of frothy ivory foam atop. Hazy indeed.
Smell: earthy tropical fruit aromas: mango, guava, pineapple. This one is a bit dank, too, which adds a nice little layer of complexity to the juicy tropical works. I like it a lot.
Taste: a bit sweet and extremely smooth; there's enough malt character here so that the tropical notes come through without necessarily signaling "juice". But it has an interesting dynamic character to the palate, starting off for me with some earthy dankness, developing the fruit in the middle, and finishing with a handful of IBUs. It's a darn good beer.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with lots of carbonation and actually a huge creaminess. I don't think this is a milkshake IPA but it's got that wonderful texture.
Overall: I like this beer a great deal. I feel like it has grown on me as I've sipped away. I'm definitely glad I got two of these.
