12oz can. Illegible date stamping.
Ruby brown colored body. Firm two finger tan head upon pouring, which recedes to a full cap and high ring. Dots and small lines of lacing left behind.
Aroma is vanilla infused chocolate with cherries.
Taste is sweet cherry encased by chocolate vanilla. All extend into a long aftertaste.
Creamy and thick mouth feel. Higher ABV% is well hidden. Very good carbonation.
If one wants to drink a chocolate covered cherry confectionery, this is the one.

12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has good retention
S- heavy medicinal cherry aroma up front, with undertones of vanilla, milk sugars, tootsie roll, roasted barley and cocoa nibs
T- the medicinal cherry note leads on the taste, followed by a note of chocolate. Th combination mimics the taste of a cherry tootsie pop. Mid-palate gives some sweet vanilla and milk sugars, the finish gives more medicinal cherry and chocolate
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a slightly creamy finish

Not bad but fruitier than I like. I have a preference for boozier, imperial stouts, so the sweeter, fruity style stouts are usually a let down. This one isn't bad, just not something I prefer.

Pours out a dark brown with some translucence. It's not like the thick sludge you see in heavy malt stouts. A ring of foam appears on an aggressive pour.
Nose is chocolate fudgy cake. It has that rich chocolate, heavily laden cocoa filled cake and a moderate amount of vanilla. The cherry smells more like that strawberry cake filling on first appearance, but if you take more time nosing the glass you get that cherry pie. There is a little of that perfume nose that you get when you take a whiff of these candied stouts. Sometimes this reminds me of Play-Doh.
Taste follows through. Chocolate and vanilla cake notes, but the cherry swells quite strongly and adds a tart quality amongst the cake flavor. This does a good job of imitating a black forest cake. I almost a coffee note as well. Interesting. That cloying perfume presence exists on the taste as well which brings it down a little bit.
Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied. Very mild carbonation. Just a little of sharpness combined with the tang of the cherry acidity.
Overall this is a well done gimmick brew. Accurate and not overblown. A 12 oz can should be good enough for two people. While it's not high in ABV per se it has a lot of flavor and does well to be shared.

A - Dark brown with light lacing and no carbonation.
S - Cocoa and fudge dominate the nose.
T - Tart cherry, chocolate, fudge, toasted cocoa, an ever so slight hit of coconut. Finishes sweet with a perfect balance between slightly acidic cherry and chocolate.
M - Thick, silky, soft and no alcohol presence whatsoever.
O - Decadent and dangerously drinkable. Recommended.

Pours a deep brown with a tan head that seems to hang around for quite awhile. The smell is pure cocoa and subtle cherry twang. The taste is sweet, definite cherry on the flavor finishing with a subtle tart cherry and chocolate flavor. The feel is good, could probably be thicker but still nice and smooth. Overall solid beer. Well done!

Pours a pitch-black color with a thick brown foamy head. Head retention is very good and as is lacing. Has a very rich chocolate cherry aroma. Tastes as close to a cake as any beer I have had. Rich chocolate cherry on the taste. Very smooth and thick. It is sweet but not overpowering.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark, murky brown pour with a minimal amount of fine brown head. Rich chocolaty aroma, sugary sweet. Taste heaps on the chocolate as well, minor notes of coconut and cherries. Nailed the flavors here, but comes off a bit too sweet.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan colored head.
S: Moderate aromas of cherry purée are present in the nose along with notes of cacao nibs.
T: The taste follows the smell and the flavors of cherries prominently stand out.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer seems more of like a cherry cake than a Black Forest Cake but in any event it makes for a nice beer that is quite easy to drink considering its strength.
Serving type: can

12oz can into a goblet. Best by 2/19/22, so guessing 2 months old
Looks pretty good in the glass. Black with dark copper edges body. Initially a giant tan head which slowly shrinks to a fat ring. Leaves scattered lacing early on.
On the nose, cherries are very apparent with a powdery dark chocolate mixed in.
On tasting, the cherries are the big flavor. There are some chocolate notes, but very much in the background. Both sweet and tart. Could not detect any vanilla.
Mouth full, finish cherry chocolate sweet tartness.
Overall, would have preferred the chocolate be more forward, but a pretty good drink nevertheless. The abv is very well hidden, so sipper beware.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice dark brown/black color, with some pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which also leaves a pretty nice medium size island, and some minimal sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, cacao nibs, vanilla, licorice, cherries. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, cacao nibs, vanilla, licorice, pretty nice touch of cherries, nice little tangy/tartness, with a pretty nice sweetness. Medium Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a slight dry/bitter finish, a very nice sipper. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Glad to see it around here.
