Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned April 6th 2021.
Very hazy and opaque body, with a solid dark yellow custard like orange color. Head creation is really minimal, making about just barely two fingers, khaki like and creamy and dissolving to a thin collar. No lacing, no head retention at all let alone creation.
Very odd aroma on the hop angle. Hints of chalky like malt, with a dank hop blast of earthy quality. Faint hints of medicinal hop and bitterness, and strangely some small peanut butter like sensations as well. Sort of interesting but really bizarre for an IPA.
Palate is a bit better unfortunately not by much. Light bodied, and kind of wet and watery slightly. Mid palate has still a chalky texture and even flavor, mixing with dried earthy tones. Some more fruit quality does manage to kick in at least, some light orange citrus, maybe even some tropical fruit as well. The finish is exceptionally flour like dry though, and goes for a more indistinct tannic pine/wood like bitterness though that's not too complimentary.
While the beer is slightly low on the freshness scale, that doesn't seem to excuse the very odd mix of flavors and textures going on here. Drinkable, but not one I see myself returning to.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, mango), with some pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, mango), pretty nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty beer. Addictive! Orange Juilus! Milkshake!
