05/11/21 stamped on bottom of 12oz can. Poured into a Duvel tulip.
A: Very dark brown with 1/2-finger dark brown head which disappears quickly and leaves no lacing.
S: Peanut M&M’s with coconut and light cherry-berry. You can smell it from 2-3 feet away. A pretty amazing and strong aroma.
T: Flavor is a very clear reflection of the aroma but less intense and more alcoholic. More chocolate and less nut than in the aroma but still plenty of both. Similar coconut and vanilla with a cherry cordial flavor rather than raisin if they are going for trail mix. Some maple in the finish. It has a slightly metallic off-flavor in the finish and aftertaste. Alcohol cherry-berry flavor is abundant and it finishes very sweet, bordering on cloying.
M: Medium-full body with low carbonation and full finish.
O: A very good attempt at trial mix, but high alcohol and super sweet almost to a fault and with cherry in place of raisin. That said they do an amazing job of coming close to their goal, it’s just a bit sweet and disorganized.

12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has short retention
S- bold chocolaty aroma on the nose that smells like chocolate fudge or chocolate icing. Undertones of peanut, coconut and vanilla. A hint of nuttiness, very nice
T- rich sweet chocolate up front gives notes of chocolate icing and fudge. Mid-palate gives some nutty notes of peanut butter, as well as sweet notes of coconut and vanilla cream. The finish gives just a hint of fruity tartness, with more chocolate, coconut and vanilla on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy into a slightly warming finish
O- I wouldn't necessarily equate this to trial mix, but it is a very good pastry stout with the chocolate notes really shining through

I like it overall, wasn't sure what to expect from the Trail Mix but overall it's pleasing but not a favorite. Maybe peanut butter and chocolate but subtle.

12 oz. Can
Canned On: 05/11/21
Poured into a chalice a pretty nice dark brown/black color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/quick/fizzy one-finger tan head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee, cacao nibs, peanut butter, coconut, apricot, vanilla, licorice. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, very nice touch of chocolate, toffee, cacao nibs, peanut butter, coconut, apricot, with some pretty nice vanilla, licorice. Full Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, this is a very tasty complex brew. Overall, a very easy drinker, watch out.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a half finger high tan head that quickly died down, leaving only a minuscule ring of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of chocolate and peanuts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of peanuts.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is like a liquid hybrid between trail mix and a chocolate candy bar. It makes for a nice dessert beer and does a good job at hiding the alcohol from the taste.
Serving type: can

Look: Poured a black coffee color with suspended milk chocolate colored specs. Respectable head that melted rather quickly to nothing, and I mean nothing. No clouds, no ring around the edge. Can't see any lace on the glass.
Smell and Taste: Coffee, cocoa and a slight amount on coconut. Sweeeeeeeet! More like an after dinner desert beverage.
Feel: Flat! No/Low carbonation.
Overall: I wasn't ready for all that milk sugar rush so I quit snaking on my finger food and focused of the brew. too many other stouts to try out there. If I bought this one again I would not be terribly disappointed but I would rather have something else.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, near flat. Aroma is nuts and chocolate, while taste flips to chocolate and nuts. Mildly sweet. Just the nuts and chocolate, none of the other trail mix bits are well represented

This is not a Stout. Brown/muddy mess. Smells and tastes artificial.
