Thanks to Jeff for this one. 12oz. bottle into a Founders snifter.
Pours rather thin. Little legs and near no head. Nose is a giant bouquet of hazelnut. I also get some cocoa powder, coconut, and chocolate. All flavors that complement that intensely aromatic hazelnut presence. Amazing! Beer opens hazelnut, coconut, and chocolate up front. More chocolate, sweet cream, vanilla, and molasses in the middle. Layers of sweet hazelnut syrup throughout. End sweetens up even more with a syrupy finish. Body is medium with low carbonation. Slightly prickly on the palate and goes down carbonated and foamy with a lingering finish. Thin, thin, thin.
This one could be so much more if the body was just a bit more dense. As is, its just not quite there.

12 oz. Can
Canned On: 07/26/21
Poured into a tulip a pretty nice dark brown/black color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which also leaves some pretty nice small islands and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, hazelnut, cacao nibs, vanilla, licorice. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, very nice touch of chocolate, toffee, cacao nibs, hazelnut, with some pretty nice vanilla, licorice. Full Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, this is a very tasty complex brew. Overall, a very nice sipper. Glad to see it around here.
