Pours purple red, bright but hazy with a delicate, soft head of foam. Aroma is blueberries, though the smell would seem to indicate that it is subdued. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Taste is deeply blueberry, with only a slight tart or sourness. More smoothie than a sour, this is, by far, the most blueberry beer and the best I've had over the years. Very satisfying, rich and rewarding. There is a lightness at the sides of the tongue that do suggest a quality of lemon. If you enjoy a blueberry beer, run to your nearest resource to get this beer.

Pours a pure blueberry juice/purée dark purple with a finger of purplish pink foam and decent retention. Nose is sour base and earth, lemon, and fresh blueberries. Taste follows suit. Straight blueberry purée. Feel is smooth and full like a real fruit smoothie. Excellent beer.

It's like the saying goes, "When life gives you blueberries, then make blueberry sour ale." ...or something like that.

Untitled Art's Double Blueberry Sour kicks off with deep purple lavender hue, nearly opaque from its darkness. A quick rise and fade of froth reveals a juicy, robust and tantalizing blueberry scent that stems from generous amounts of both blueberry puree and blueberry concentrate. A gentle sweetness of light pastry crust, light jam and a juicy vibrance, any suggestions of malt come across as fruit juices.

As bold as the beer opens with its full blueberry complement, the sweetness does lift on the middle palate to reveal an undercurrent of sourness that plays out like lime, lemon, cider and wine. Although the sweetness fades, its juiciness remains and balances the acidity while adding complexity to the blueberry additions. Trailing into a vinously tangy finish, the beer leaves impressions of red wine on the late palate.

Medium bodied but certainly fuller for sour ale, the base taste of German Berlinerwiess largely gets lost in the blueberries, but does provide a tangy foundation for the fruit. Finishing fruity and tart, the ale extends into a medium length aftertaste of dark berry, cider and sourdough.

12oz can. Canning date stamped on can bottom is '09/25/21'.
Dark purple berry colored body. Hard pour brought out three fingers of pinkish head, which eventually mellows out to a thin cap. Leaves some film and small spots of lacing.
Very aromatic of sweet berry, the main part being blueberry, but leaves reminders of lemon/lime, strawberry, and raspberry. Has some lactic residue.
Taste is very redolent of sweet blueberry and other berries, with graham cracker. Sweet but with a kick of tartness. No bitterness and no expression of hops. The same mix extends into the aftertaste.
Medium thick mouth feel, with a touch of syrup. Good carbonation.
A Berliner with a double dose of berry fruit already added. Has some refreshment quality, and not sweet enough to only be a dessert beer.
