16 oz. Can
Canned: 10/17/21
Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy dark purple color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/quick/fizzy one-finger purplish head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, blackberry, lemon), vanilla, cinnamon, tart/sour. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, blackberry, lemon), nice touch of vanilla, pretty nice tartness/sour, nice little sweetness. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a tasty beer.

Pours a beautiful blackberry purée ruby purple with an aggressive bubbly head that quickly reduces to a thin pink ring and some floaty islands. Nose is blackberry purée, fresh baked sugared pie crust and cinnamon. Taste follows suit exactly and is directly in line with description. Feel is thick enough to be considered decadent but not mouth coating. Flavors are perfectly balanced, not too sweet whatsoever. UA nailed this as they do so many others.

It's like the saying goes, "When life gives you blackberries, then make blackberry sour-smoothie-pastry ale." ...or something like that.
Untitled Art's Blackberry Cobbler a la Mode kicks off with deep purple hue, nearly opaque from its depth of haze. A quick rise and fade of froth reveals a juicy, robust and tantalizing blackberry scent that stems from generous amounts of blueberry, cereal and cream. A doughy sweetness of pastry crust, jam and juicy links up with vanilla cream to suggest a deep smoothie introduction to taste.
As bold as the beer opens with its full blackberry complement, the sweetness doubles down on the middle palate to reveal bold overtones of milkshake. Underneath it all lies a sourness that plays out like lime, lemon, cider and wine. With the sweetness resisting any attempt to fade, its juiciness balances the acidity while adding complexity to the blackberry fruit. Trailing into a vinously tangy finish, the beer leaves impressions of red wine and French vanilla ice cream.
Full bodied but certainly full for sour ale, the base sour taste often gets lost in the blackberries, but does provide a tangy foundation for the fruit. Finishing fruity and creamy, the ale extends into a long aftertaste of dark berry, cider and sourdough. With the clumping on the sides of the glass though, I may have to burn this glass when I'm done.
