Thanks to Jeff for this one. 16oz. can into a Founders snifter.
Pours pitch black. Moderately viscous. Spotty and stringy lace. Oily, slick legs. Nose is heavy on the raspberry and chocolate. Like a box of Valentine's day chocolates. Very aromatic but a bit syrupy sweet. Beer opens chocolate, raspberry syrup, and raspberry jam. Juicy but in an artificial way. Milk chocolate in the middle. Some cocoa powder and molasses towards the end though the raspberry syrup sweetness never really subsides. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth and rich on the palate and viscous and chewy going down. Long, lingering aftertaste.
This one's just way too sweet. Over-the-top cloying.

Aroma is raspberries and dryish dark chocolate/dark malts. The flavor is raspberries, dark malts and a mildly sweet/acidic/dryish chocolate finish.

Pours a red brown (seriously, it's quite impressive) with moderate carbonation and a light head of foam. Aroma is deeply raspberry with a strong chocolate profile. Taste is...whoa! Perhaps the most raspberry beer I've had. Very raspberry, with deep, dark chocolate and that barrel flavor. It is thick, very sweet, intense, oh so raspberry and oh so barrel-y.
