Light brown pour into a snifter - minimal lacing.
Aromas of heavy bakers chocolate with coffee, toffee, caramel. Sweetness.
Taste follows nose on heavy chocolate sweetness. Wow this is sweet.
Feel is full bodied, almost oily and thick.
Overall this was a one and done for me as to how it was so sweet. Definitely hits the pastry stout isle and is top 5 for me there.

Pours a deep black color with a brown aura, head is non retentive and recedes quickly.
Smells of fudge and chocolate. Not much else.
Dark chocolate right up front, with some cake notes. (brownie if you will)
Going into the mid is a small bourbon burn on the tongue with some wood notes. Finishes chocolatey and smooth.

16 ounce can, born on 03/11/22, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that fizzled away pretty quickly. Not much lacing, either. Aroma is nice, the brew pretty much smells like a dark chocolate fudge brownie, along with some vanilla, cream and caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some bourbon and burnt/charred malt flavors. Barrel seems light at first but does show up more as the beer warms. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew more at first, but then I didn't care for it as much the longer I drank it as I think the sweetness started to bug me. Still good overall, but could have been better. Worth a try.

Pint can poured into a snifter.
There’s no need to stroll through the pour and smell and taste and feel and overall here.
Just let the senses explode:
A liquid double-chocolate fudge brownie with a decadent caramel bourbon sauce poured over it is how my brain wraps itself around this super-indulgent sticky treat.
One hitter. The art of the craft.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours a deep brown color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring
S- initial aroma smells just like a tootsie roll; cocoa nibs, milk chocolate, Belgian candi sugar, even a hint of caramel. Brownie batter and brownie crusts, vanilla & marshmallow. Not really finding any barrel
T- Cocoa nibs and milk chocolate up front, give a flavor of Tootsie Rolls, just as in the aroma, along with some creamy marshmallow notes. Mid-palate brings out the barrel notes, adding barrel juice, oak, vanilla and caramel. The finish gives more chocolate, with the barrel popping back out on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a warming finish

16oz can stamped BORN ON:03/11/22 poured into a Spiegelau stout glass at fridge temp 14.2% ABV. The beer pours very dark brown with little light penetration and medium brown colored head. The head lasted about 2 minutes and there might be a dozen bubbles left around the edge of the beer. No lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring big time fudge with a hint of bourbon. The taste is semisweet, boozey, super fudgy (think Hershey's chocolate syrup) with a tapering finish of dark chocolate, coffee and bourbon. Moderate bitterness just on the finish, which coupled with the ABV and barrel, keep this extreme beer balanced against the sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with just less that average carbonation and a semi dry finish. Alcohol is there, but I wouldn't guess 14+. Overall, very good. It takes some finesse to brew a beer this big that works out, but this one does.
