Pours brilliant red with a robust three finger head. Aroma is sweet and definitely red velvet. Chocolate is also present. Taste is very sweet and most definitely red velvet. After awhile, the sweetness becomes quite prominent and may detract a bit, however, this is a pastry stout to try!

Dark, opaque black pour shows red highlights, even on the khaki head. Super sweet nose and palate, lots of vanilla and sheet cake/cake frosting, chocolate, boozy tangy red berries, all together its a fine sweet/pastry stout but not my favorite.

Who says that you can't have your cake and drink it too? Untitled art begs to differ with their red velvet cake inspired Pastry Stout.
Red Velvet Cake Pastry Stout pours like tar with an inky blood red legging left behind each swirl. With a creamy mocha froth rising above, the rich and sultry scent of cake batter, light tangy fruit, vanilla, chocolate, coconut and spicy booze all green and tease the nose with dessert decadence. Heavy sweetness coats the tongue as a first sip of cake batter, chocolate, caramel, nougat, condensed milk, powdered sugar and coconut apply a cake-like effect on the early palate.
And as those flavors broaden onto the middle palate, the rich malt sugars are unwavering, saturating the tastebuds to utter completion with a host of grain sugars and adjuncts. As hints of cherry, coconut, coffee and toast all attempt to add a subtle complexity and balance to the taste, the cloying sweetness wins out with ease.
Full, creamy and quite difficult in drinkability, the beer is delicious through a first few drinks. They used to say that it takes a village to raise a child. Well, now it takes one to also drink a beer. Packed with calories, textures and flavors, this one twelve-ounce can is an easy split among a middle sized mid-European township.

Pours a dark red color with a pink head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is chocolate and dark fruits. Taste is sweet chocolate, vanilla and alcohol. Thick and creamy with a strong alcohol warmth.
