Found this one in Idaho Falls and mistook the "Best By NOV23" can-date as an indicator that this was a new canning from UA, but I think I'm wrong. Overall this one was still solid though; pours out a hazy and turbid gold with a large, fluffy yellow-ish head...yeasty sediment is apparent. Strong tropical fruit vibes of mango and papaya, apricot and other stone fruit as well. Residual sweetness seems apparent and is present on the palate as well, malty and full-bodied and fluffy but with good hop presence still, melon and apricot and mango and herbal flowers. Decent stuff, I'm not mad at it.

 

 

Reaching for stardom when it comes to making IPA, Untitled Art gazes as Cryo Citra and Galaxy hops combined with Cosmic yeast strains to take us to a flavor place where no palates have gone before.

Cosmic Punch IPA takes off with a common glowing translucent pale golden haze with shades of orange and gold. Firmly hazy, the ale soon layers with a creamy white blanket of froth. As a tantalizing and striking floral and fruity scent pulls from the foam, suggestions of citrus, tropical and vinous fruits emerge. Commonly sweet, the taste starts out creamy with vanilla wafer, cereal, honey and shortbread in true hazy ale fashion.

The the hops begin to blossom on the middle palate with bolder suggestions of mandarin orange, blood orange, red grapefruit, mango, passionfruit, apricot and papaya in a display of creamy fruit cocktail. As the ale swirls on the tastebuds, the estery character of fruit sherbet, marmalade and rollup pull from the flavors and join the flavors of white grape, green papaya and lime. Trending softly herbal, the late taste trends peppery with verbena, fresh grass clippings, spruce, green tea, sassafras and a general gin-like botanical bite as the alcohol spice shows itself.

Full bodied, creamy and smooth, the beer's full fruity effects play out like sherbet and tropical punch with a balancing bitterness the registers long on the after palate. Its a delicious and unique taste that is a welcome reprieve from the taste of common hazy ale that's gotten all to familiar, if not boring.
