Typical for what I have come to expect from Untitled Art, a pastry stout that boarders on being too sweet but is still quite tasty. On tap it pours nearly black with a ring of frothy mocha foam. Aroma of pecans and sugar syrup. Taste is sweet candied pecan, cocoa nibs, sugar, honey, syrup, molasses (did I mention sugar?), with a bit of roasted malt, bitter hops, and alcohol warming to round out the flavor and tamp down the sweetness. If you’re into this sort of thing it is good.

12oz can from Tavour. Thick, near black pour, flat. Sweet aroma, chocolate, pecans. Taste brings the pecans out front, brown sugar and more chocolate. Silky, creamy feel, sweet finish with a hint of ABV.

Looks like most all Untitled Art Shouts that I've had. Dark pour without much head.
Smells just like candied pecans and vanilla. Taste like it smells but quite high on the sweetness scale. Nice lingering aftertaste.
Feels like drinking cough syrup. Thick and oily.
Overall a very good after dinner brew.

Pecan pie isn't only for Thanksgiving anymore. Made anytime the fall-time classic catches the whim of Untitled Art, the heavy sweetness of candied pecans and praline sweetness piles high on a pastry crust, but does it all in beery form.

Dark brown and shy of black, Candied Pecan Pastry Stout reveals a short, fast and dainty froth with a lavishly sweet scent of chocolate, coffee, pecans, heavy cream and vanilla. Seriously sweet once on the tongue, the first impressions are rich with caramel, chocolate, vanilla and buttery brittle in nearly perfect praline form.

The uniqueness of the candied pecans comes full circle on the middle palate as the taste of dark chocolate, toasted toffee, vanilla, cappuccino and candied pecans batter the tastebuds with dense malt sweetness and a hint of molasses for extra measure. Roasted grains bring the beer into the realm of stout while a spicy coffee flavor is suggestive of kahlua.

Finishing cloyingly sweet, deeply satisfying and chewy in texture, the stout is a sipping dessert beer that's best shared about the table. An extension of coffee and caramel accompany the candied pecan flavors for a long and savory aftertaste.

12 oz. Can

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice dark brown color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy/kinda quick/fizzy one-finger plus tan head, which also leaves a pretty nice medium-size island/oil slick, and some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, cacao nibs, pecans, belgian candi syrup, vanilla/honey, licorice. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, very nice touch of chocolate, toffee, cacao nibs, pecans, belgian candi syrup, with some pretty nice vanilla/honey, licorice. Full Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, this is a very tasty brew. Overall, a very easy drinker.

Pours black with a delicious two finger head of tan foam. Aroma is sweet, with a nutty profile, honey and milk chocolate. Taste is pecan and honey. This is a highly sweet brew, even for a pastry stout. However, it is quite nice, smooth with a moderate body and plenty of carbonation that help rescue it. This is a wonderful example of pastry stouts and should not be missed.
