22oz bottle. Label has this information 'Brewed + Bottled by Untitled Art, Waunakee, WI in collaboration with Stitchdown for Boot Camp 2023'.
Black colored body. Light brown head with the pour but this retreats and leaves an active surface storm and higher ring. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted caramel malts, bourbon barrel, oak, and vanilla, chocolate, dark fruit, and hints of coconut and coffee.
Taste is quite sweet, with flavors of chocolate, oak, vanilla, bourbon barrel, caramel, cherry and prune, and coconut. Aftertaste stays sweet with the chocolate, fruit, and bourbon barrel.
More than medium mouthfeel. Sticky texture. Dry finish because of the higher ABV%. Some tongue numbing. Very good carbonation.
Sip slowly to deal with the alcohol level and to savor the nose and flavor complexity.

Jet black, densely poured and capped with a dark mocha froth, Stitchdown immediately teases the nose with a complex and rich scent of chocolate, coffee, bourbon, oak, caramel, coconut and savory port-like nuances. Sweet on the tongue, there’s a dense malt taste of molasses, dark chocolate, supple fruitiness and candied coconut for a deliciously powerful kickoff of flavor.

As the dark elixir flows across the tongue, a flood of coconut, vanilla, caramel, espresso and chocolate come in candy bar form before the barrel brings its more adult charm. Bourbon, toasted oak, nutty almond, peppery booze and vinous sherry-like fruitiness chase a finish of coffee-like bitterness and whisky warmth.

Full bodied, rounded and smooth, the imperial stout is simple in its approach, but it is highly complex and flavorful with its impact on the palate. It’s a flawless approach with equally flawless results.
