12oz can stamped BB020227 poured into a shaker pint glass at fridge temp 8% ABV. The beer pours dense black with light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring sweet milk chocolate. The taste is more of the same with sweet chocolate candy and minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with average carbonation and a semi dry finish with the candy sweetness barely contained. Overall, enjoyable slow sipper. Loads of sweet chocolate, but it's pretty well done.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a fine, one finger milk chocolate head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, almond and pastry dough. Flavor is dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, pistachio, honey and lactose. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A somewhat sweet dessert stout with nice chocolate and pistachio character. I'm not familiar with Dubai chocolates, but from the description this is a fair representation of the confection in stout form. For some reason, the aroma was distinctly almond, but the taste was the promised pistachio, with some flaky crust notes as well. I'd call this a pastry stout under the new style rules. Sweet, but not cloyingly dessert-like. Nicely done.

The pour is jet black with a tan & frothy head of foam. The taste is Dubai chocolate, rich roasted malt, & pistachio nuts. Moreover, the 8% abv is well hidden. Cheers! A-
