From a 16 oz. can sampled on Feb 25, 2022.
The look is what you would hope for in a stout. It is dark brown to near black with a lacing-leaving fluffy tan head. It fades slowly.
The aroma is dark roasted malts, ash, char, and a slight wheat backdrop. I get a touch of pine but the roasted malts are front and center.
The mouthfeel is light to medium. Fairly smooth. But also cleansing.
The taste is sweet, roasted, ashy, and burnt with a more notable pine sensation here. Dry finish. No chocolate. No vanilla. Just sweet dark malts. Decently done traditional stout.
