Walking the Earth during the Cretaceous period 79.5 million years ago, the "Reaper of Death" claimed the Canadian badlands of southern Alberta. It is the oldest known Tyrannosaurid on record in northerly North America. "Thanatotheriste". Greek for "Reaper of Death" was recently discovered in the Bow Valley River west of Medicine Hat, and is now proudly situated at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. Inspired by the vicious meat eating dinosaur, known for its serrated teeth and monstrous face, MH Brew Co brewmaster Mitch and Valley Brewing brewmaster Nick created this monster of a beer. Generously dry hopped with an incredible amount of Azacca, Eclipse, El Dorado, Idaho 7, Sabro cryo (lupulin enriched) and Pink Boots hop to give this brew amazing hop flavour and aroma. Hopheads and dinophiles rejoice!

Mildly hazy pale yellow pour with finger of frothy white head - dissipates shortly.
Grainy cereal malt on the nose - notes of tropical fruit, melon, a touch of pineapple and mango and a bit of a peachy aroma, slightly floral.
Juicy flavours - peach, melon, mango - an overall tropical fruit melange of hop flavours, riding on a backing of sweet cereal malt base. Bereft of any real bitterness.
So - exceptionally smooth and easy to drink, hiding 8.8% ABV remarkably well. This is a well made, lively carbonated, medium to full bodied juicy NEIPA, and enjoyed - but more and more as a style I am getting less sense of beer, and more just a juicy sameness.
Cool label though!
