Appearance - Pours a copper with four fingers of frothy white head.

Smell - piney, leafy, herbal, earthy, and hint of citrus hops, pine resin, grapefruit peel, hint of citrus rind, bready malts, and earthy yeast.

Taste - very bold and bitter piney hops upfront alongside the pine resin. The leafy, herbal, earthy, and hint of citrus hops follow suit. The brew then goes into the grapefruit peel, hint of citrus rind and is rounded out by the bready malts and earthy yeast.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops and pine resin lingering.

Overall - A bold, bitter, and one heck of a true West Coast IPA. This one is not for the faint of heart. If you like your beer with a heavy dose of pine resin then this brew is for you. Well done Medicine Hat brewing and cheers to 5 years!

Gorgeous clear copper/reddish amber pour with three fingers of creamy light beige head.
Aroma hits like a Christmas tree - piney and fragrant - grapefruit peel, a decent amount of resin and a touch dank - toffee like malt peeks through but is a mere whiff to the hop explosion.
No doubt this is a hop assault on the palate - sticky and bitter resinous pine, grapefruit, grapefruit peel, and a dank and floral note - again caramel malt sweetness tries to make an appearance but the bitterness wins out.
Full mouthfeel with active carbonation and that lingering piney bitterness.
Not an every day beer but an absolute treat.
