Walking the earth during the cretaceous period 79.5 million years ago, the 'reaper of death' claimed the Canadian badlands of Southern Alberta. It is the oldest known tyrannosaurid on record in northerly North America. ‘Thanatotheriste’ greek for ‘Reaper of Death’ was recently discovered in the Bow Valley River west of Medicine Hat, and is now proudly situated at the Royal Tyrrell museum in Drumheller.
This year's Reaper of Death was made with an eclectic blend of new age hops. HBC 586, Eclipse, Idaho 7, Galaxy and Vic Secret. Huge charges of dry hops impart incredible flavors and aromas. Stone fruits, tropical and citrus fruits are all in there to entice your sense of taste and smell.

Had on tap at Valley Brewing in Drumheller, bought 4 pack of 16 ounce cans there - packaged June 24/24. Listed as a Double NEIPA, but seems to creep into WC territory.
Pours an almost clear bright golden colour with a finger plus of tight bubbly white head.
Piney on the nose, citrus, over ripe tropical fruit, a degree of herbal and sweaty dankness with some underlying grainy cereal malt.
Tropical fruit, tangerine, citrus on the palate with some cereal malt sweetness - piney and resinous notes with a decent sprinkling of dank and herbal bitterness.
Medium full mouthfeel - resinous and sticky without being syrupy; moderate carbonation. If all "NEIPAs" were this I would definitely gravitate to them more, but this does seem more a WC DIPA kicked up with tropical and citrus juiciness of a NEIPA....labels, bah.
